Our Partners

Hold the Future has been fortunate to receive assistance from several International NGOs.

We acknowledge these with heartfelt thanks.

Caritas Germany

Caritas Germany, International Asia Section.

Without the assistance of Caritas the vocational training provided by Hold the Future would not have been possible.

Caritas’ funding from 2007 to 2010 has truly lifted Hold the Future into an entirely new organisation. It has enabled us to offer training to disabled youth covering traditional handicraft skills as well as reading, writing, numeracy and sign language tuition. Also offered for the first time in 2010 were courses on soft skills such as improved communication and the start of entry-level business skills. Words cannot describe our gratitude.

Canadian International Development Agency provided one of the first fundings in 2006 with a grant of $10 000 enabling the Centre to invest in handicraft equipment and materials such as frames for embroidery work and fabric as well as embroidery cottons.

VIDA (Volunteering for International Development) has provided an invaluable resource by providing the services of a Marketing and Design specialist volunteer. VIDA also assisted with the much needed replacement of computer equipment.

VSO

VSO (Volunteer Services Overseas)

Hold the Future has partnered with VSO. A volunteer serving as Business Developer has been placed at the centre for a two year stint spanning 2009 to 2011.

Latter-Day Saint Charities

Ardell and Julie Anne Talbot, LDS Country Directors for Vietnam funded 20 wheelchairs for disabled people at Hold the Future. The handing over ceremony was held on August 18, 2010 at Co Nhue, Hanoi.

For disabled people and their carers a wheelchair is a huge deal. For many recipients this was the first time they could own their own wheels. It was an emotional day for the givers as well as the receivers of this wonderful gift of mobility.

AWARDS

East Meets West Foundation has awarded Hold the Future a place as one of the top ten models of organisations supporting disabled people in Vietnam in their ‘Life is Beautiful’ campaign.
